MacPherson M2X loudspeaker

Northwestern University 2001 Commencement

An AXIA-based loudspeaker system provided sound reinforcement for Northwestern University's 143rd annual commencement ceremony on June 15, 2001 at Ryan Field. Approximately 17,000 students, parents, and guests heard speeches, including keynote speaker, lawyer and author, Scott Turow, and music provided by a full 60-piece orchestra.

Photo 1: A mix of equipment from four MacPherson product lines was used to cover the 17,000 seat audience.

Photos 2 and 3: Two line arrays of four AXIAs each were positioned on either side of the stage.

Photos 4 and 5: The FOH system was supported by two M2Xs (shown) for center fill and two M12Xs for additional fill. Four M12BPs served as stage monitors.
