MacPherson Introducing High-Power AXIA System at NSCA Expo

SKOKIE, IL, March 4, 2000 --- MacPherson, Inc., manufacturers of the industry-acclaimed Monolith loudspeaker, will introduce their AXIA loudspeaker system at NSCA Expo in Las Vegas, April 29 – May 1, in booth #320.

Space-Saving System Delivers Exceptional Sound

Designed for fixed installations or touring, the compact, high-power AXIA loudspeaker system offers configuration versatility and true high fidelity sound. Available as a tri-amp or 3-way bi-amp system, the AXIA’s design allows cabinets to be used singly, or coupled together to form a powerful full-range vertical line array.

The AXIA premium Baltic birch cabinet houses one 15-inch LF, two 8-inch MF, and a 2-inch HF mounted on a 90 x 55 degree slot CD horn flare. Through the use of front-loaded, direct-radiating cone drivers, AXIA successfully eliminates the coloration associated with many horn-loaded mid-range designs. The inclusion of a proprietary slot CD horn flare in the high-frequency section allows a wide sound field, while maintaining clarity and fidelity.

Ease of Setup/Choice of Configurations

AXIA’s unique and innovative ExoSpine Rigging System integrates the flying hardware directly into the cabinet, making setup and tear down a breeze. When used with the Fly Bar/Stacking Base, flown or deck-stacked arrays can easily be created. For permanent installation, AXIA cabinets are also available with simple, but effective hanging points.
